Record on the Matterhorn: Zermatter Andreas Steindl and Italian Francois Cazzanelli succeeded in climbing all four ridges of the Matterhorn in 16 hours and 4 minutes. They were the first to do this since Hans Kammerlander (ITA) and Diego Wellig (CH), who achieved the same feat in 1992 in 23.5 hours.

The world’s biggest ski area test portal has been recognising the best ski areas every year since 1998. The Matterhorn Ski Paradise scored points for ski area size, choice of pistes, cable cars, guaranteed snow, piste preparation, environmental friendliness, mountain hospitality and choice of accommodation.

New webcams have now been installed across the whole destination, with significantly better image quality than their predecessors. They are 360-degree cameras that show the whole surrounding area. Some of the webcams can also take fantastic nighttime shots. The live images can be seen at any time on the websites of Zermatt Tourism and of Zermatt Bergbahnen. The webcam images will also appear in the "Matterhorn" app soon. A selection of live recordings can also be seen on smart TVs (via Feratel) and on SRF Meteo, RTS, ORF 3 and ARD-alpha TV channels.
